LINOP U 500 Control Unit

The LINOP U 500 control unit is the new Bus-controlled basis for the control and monitoring of the spotlight systems Cyberlite 4 S and Cyberlite 50 S as well as the floodlight system CyberFlood 255 S.

This independent device can be operated as a table-top unit, a later integration into a PLC control by means of a LIN-Bus control is easily possible.

Cyberlite4 S

The control unit can connect in parallel up to 3 Cyberlite 4 S units. The intensity of each lamp can be adjusted individually. In case that the 3 slots are not enough, it is also possible to interpose the LINOP Splitter, allowing to connect one output with 3 lamps. This means that one device can control up to 9 Cyberlite 4 S lamps, whereby the individual control is dropped.

 

Cyberlite 50 S

The control unit can operate 1 Cyberlite 50 S unit. The intensity of the lamp can be adjusted individually. In case that 1 LED lamp is not enough, it is also possible to interpose the LINOP BoosterPack 13 A, allowing to connect one output with 6 lamps. This means that one device, combined with a booster including power pack, can operate up to 5 Cyberlite 50 S lamps, resp. operate up to 15 lamps with 3 boosters and 3 power packs. Each lamp can be driven individually.

 

CyberFlood 255 S

The control unit can operate 1 CyberFlood 255 S units. The intensity of the lamp can be adjusted individually. In case that 1 lamp is not enough, it is also possible to interpose the LINOP BoosterPack 13 A, allowing to connect one output with 6 lamps. This means that one device, combined with a booster including power pack, can operate up to 6 CyberFlood 255 S lamps, resp. operate up to 16 lamps with 3 boosters and 2 power packs. Each lamp can be driven individually.

 

Control and adapting control

The manually set intensity of each UV LED connected via the LIN Bus is being monitored and, if necessary, readjusted. This ensures that the brightness value pre-set by the user is maintained at any time during operation.
The intensity is readjusted to make sure that aged UV LEDs still reach the brightness value that has been determined at the beginning of the operation.
LEDs tail off at high temperatures. This is compensated by an intelligent control, too, making sure that the same brightness values are emitted by the UV LEDs over a wide temperature range.

Adapting the control

It is possible to adjust or deactivate the control on an individual basis. This is necessary when as much power as possible needs to be taken from the UV LED, even when the value varies then. On the other hand, if a reliable control is desired, control reserves can be set to enable the UV LED to compensate potential losses.
In order to ensure that each UV LED has exactly the same brightness value upon time of delivery, a maximum intensity value is defined for this UV LED during quality control, which is the so-called base value of intensity.
In addition, the control reserve can be defined to maintain the brightness of the original condition, for example under poor conditions like high temperatures or very old (weakened) UV LEDs. A large control reserve adversely affects the brightness, however, it offers stable conditions for various production lines or processes.
